DM 80 spool valves are particularly well-suited to log splitters, as the return position is detented and the spool returns to neutral at the end of the stroke, making them ideal for this application. This type of spool valve is also available in double speed, i.e. a fast speed for approaching the wedge and a slow speed for pressure work.
