        Whatever its type, a hydraulic pump is a mechanical component that ensures the circulation of a liquid within a circuit. They all operate according to a basic physical law: the creation of a partial vacuum when the pump is primed, thanks to the movement of its moving part. The liquid to be displaced is drawn into the pump inlet by the vacuum effect. The liquid is then pressurised by this moving part and released into the entire circuit.
        Hydraulic gear pumps are particularly reliable, and are widely used in the mechanical engineering and automotive industries. They can be coupled to a motor by means of a drive shaft and gearbox, or set in motion by a small electric motor. They can be used to permanently pressurise circuits at pressures of up to 250 bar.
