        Whatever its type, a hydraulic pump is a mechanical element that moves a fluid within a circuit. They all operate according to a basic physical law: the creation of a partial vacuum when the pump is primed, thanks to the movement of its moving part. The liquid to be displaced is drawn into the pump inlet by the vacuum effect. It is then pressurised by this moving part and pumped throughout the circuit.

        Extremely reliable, hydraulic gear pumps are used extensively in industrial and automotive engineering. They can be coupled to a motor by means of a transmission shaft and gearbox, or driven by a small electric motor. They provide constant circuit pressure of up to 250 bar.
