        Whatever its type, a hydraulic pump is a mechanical element that moves a liquid within a circuit. They all operate on a simple physical principle: the creation of a partial vacuum on priming by setting their moving part in motion. The liquid to be moved is sucked into the pump inlet by the vacuum effect. This is then pressurised by the moving part and released into the entire circuit.

        Particularly reliable, hydraulic gear pumps are widely used in the mechanical and automotive industries. They can be coupled to a motor via a drive shaft and gearbox, or driven by a small electric motor. They are used to permanently pressurise circuits that can reach pressures of up to two hundred and fifty bars.
