        Whatever its type, a hydraulic pump is a mechanical component that ensures the circulation of a liquid within a circuit. They all operate on a simple physical principle, creating a partial vacuum when they are primed by setting their moving part in motion. The liquid to be moved is sucked into the pump inlet by the vacuum effect. This is then pressurised by the same moving part and pumped throughout the circuit.

        Extremely reliable, hydraulic gear pumps are widely used in industrial mechanics and the automotive sector. They can be coupled to a motor by means of a drive shaft and gearbox, or set in motion by a small electric motor. They are used to permanently pressurise circuits at pressures of up to 250 bar.
