        Whatever its type, a hydraulic pump is a mechanical element that ensures the circulation of a fluid within a circuit. They all operate according to a basic physical law: the creation of a partial vacuum when they are primed, by setting their moving part in motion. The fluid to be moved is drawn into the pump inlet by the vacuum effect. The fluid is then pressurised by this moving part and pumped throughout the circuit.

        Particularly reliable, hydraulic gear pumps are widely used in the mechanical and automotive industries. They can be coupled to a motor by means of a drive shaft and gearbox, or driven by a small electric motor. They provide constant pressure to circuits of up to 250 bar.
