        Regardless of its type, a hydraulic pump is a mechanical element that moves a liquid within a circuit. They all operate on a simple physical principle, creating a partial vacuum when they are primed by activating their moving part. The liquid to be displaced is drawn towards the pump inlet by a vacuum effect. The liquid is then pressurised by this moving part and pumped throughout the circuit.

        Particularly reliable, hydraulic gear pumps are widely used in the mechanical and automotive industries. They can be coupled to a motor by means of a drive shaft and gearbox, or set in motion by a small electric motor. They can permanently pressurise circuits up to 250 bar.
