        Whatever its type, a hydraulic pump is a mechanical component that ensures the circulation of a fluid within a circuit. They all operate according to a basic physical law: the creation of a partial vacuum when they are primed, by setting their moving part in motion. The fluid to be moved is drawn towards the pump inlet by the vacuum effect. The fluid is then pressurised by this same moving part and released into the entire circuit.

        Hydraulic gear pumps are particularly reliable, and are widely used in industrial mechanics and the automotive industry. They can be connected to a motor by means of a drive shaft and gearbox, or driven by a small electric motor. They can permanently pressurise circuits up to 250 bar.
