        Whatever its type, a hydraulic pump is a mechanical element that ensures the circulation of a fluid within a circuit. They all operate on a simple physical principle, creating a partial vacuum when they are primed by activating their moving part. The liquid to be displaced is drawn into the pump inlet by the vacuum effect. This is then pressurised by the same moving element and released into the entire circuit.

        Hydraulic gear pumps are particularly reliable, and are widely used in industrial mechanics and the automotive industry. They can be coupled to a motor via a drive shaft and gearbox, or driven by a small electric motor. They provide constant pressure to circuits of up to 250 bar.
