        In a hydraulic installation, the fluid pressurised by the pump generates hydraulic energy which needs to be converted into mechanical energy. This is precisely the function of hydraulic motors. Although there are several types, distinguished by the moving part of the motor, they all use the same technique. The pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the motor drives the moving parts inside the motor, which are mechanically coupled to a coupling shaft.

        To select the right hydraulic motor, you need to be aware that the displacement (speed and torque) of the motor will depend on the flow rate and pressure delivered by the pump.
