        In a hydraulic installation, the fluid pressurised by the pump creates a hydraulic force which must be converted into mechanical force. This is the role of hydraulic motors. Although there are several types, distinguished by the moving part of the motor, they all work by the same method. The pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the motor drives the internal moving parts of the motor, which are mechanically coupled to a coupling shaft.

        To select the right hydraulic motor, you need to be aware that its displacement (speed and torque) will depend on the flow rate and pressure delivered by the pump.
