        Regardless of its type, a hydraulic pump is a mechanical element that moves a fluid within a circuit. They all operate according to a basic physical law, the creation of a partial vacuum on start-up by activating their moving part. The fluid to be displaced is drawn towards the pump inlet by the vacuum effect. The fluid is then pressurised by this same moving part and released into the entire circuit.

        Hydraulic gear pumps are particularly reliable, and are widely used in industrial mechanics and the automotive sector. They can be coupled to a motor by means of a drive shaft and gearbox, or set in motion by a small electric motor. They can permanently pressurise circuits up to two hundred and fifty bars.
