is considered to be the most dangerous component in hydraulics.
It is a pressurised energy reserve.
There are 3 common types of accumulator:
1- Bladder accumulators
2- Diaphragm accumulators
3- Piston accumulators.
Note: only use nitrogen!
If the diaphragm, bladder or
piston seal ruptures, the nitrogen/oil mixture is not explosive.
