        In a hydraulic system, the liquid pressurised by the pump generates hydraulic energy which must be converted into mechanical force. This is the function of hydraulic motors. Although there are several types, distinguished by the moving part of the motor, they all work by the same method. The pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the motor drives the internal moving parts of the motor, which are mechanically connected to a coupling shaft.

        To select the right hydraulic motor, bear in mind that its displacement (speed and torque) will depend on the flow rate and the pressure exerted by the pump.
